pptp-linux software package provides Point-to-Point Tunneling Protocol (PPTP) Client, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install pptp-linux
pptp-linux is installed in your system.
Make ensure the pptp-linux package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep pptp-linux *
You will get with pptp-linux package name, version, architecture and description in a table
